Another photo I didn't take. James took this
one, during one of his days off (since he works 24 hour shifts, he get
lots of time during the day off, to go do cool things, like take this
picture). For a while when we first got here, this was as high as the
sun would get during the day. McMurdo is in the shadow of Mount Erebus,
and it wasn't until several weeks after first sun rise, that the rays
of sun actually hit the town itself.
