| Here we are, in the cold & dark, with the
lights of McMurdo behind us (there was snow blowing in the air, and the
lights lit it up nicely). That look on my face is the closest I could
get to a smile, as I was cringing in the cold, and just wanted to put
my goggles back on after the photo was over (James took that photo with
