So, we left the Ice (Antarctica) in February,
as usual. We spent the first week traveling around the South Island
of New Zealand with our friends Matt & Laurie. This photo is at Cave
Stream, where a stream flows through the ground and you can hike through
it. It was a rather chilly day, and after James dug out a wetsuit and
put it on (where'd that come from? No wonder his pack was so heavy!),
I decided I didn't want to wade through waste deep water, when I was
already cold. I had just left Antarctica and I wanted to be warm
now.
