This year they talked me into performing at
the Soirree. In this photo, I was explaining that I usually don't perform
solo, and that I'm used to be a BACKUP musician.... Then I had technical
difficulties, and so while Sean was fixing the amp, I kept talking (something
that if anyone knows me at all knows I can do for hours on end, non-stop)...
Well, I continued talking while waiting for the Amp, but I was explaining
how I don't usually get a mike on stage, so this was all new to me...
And then I said the quote of the night (after I'd been babbling for a
while) "...and I'm not even a talker." - The crowd cracked up on that
one. Either they all knew me, or else I'd already been up there talking
too long. Anyway, once the amp was working, I did a really cool improv
solo.
