On my way through Oregon, my friend Doug was nice ennough to find time to plane my fingerboard down. As much as my bass needed it, it was still weird to watch all the wood shavings coming off. It's like getting a haircut and seeing all the hairs on the ground. Only it was scarier because I knew the bass couldn't regrow those wood shavings. BUT, Doug is very good at working on basses, and did a wonderful job. And then my bass was back to normal and I was as happy as could be.
