Icestock was rather cold this year. The week prior to the fest, we'd had temps in the upper 40's F, maybe even 50F.... well, on Icestock day it dropped down to like the 20's or 30's F - and it was windy (there's a lot to be said for wind chill). Now, I know that 20's & 30's isn't that cold, but it is when you're a musician playing a long set without breaks, and need your finger dexterity. This music was fast and complex enough that the cold really was a hinderance. Dave, our Conga drummer, didn't seem to mind the cold, though.
